Equal Opportunities Policy Statement Make A Green Team May 2011

Purpose:

To provide a written statement of the Equal Opportunities Policy operated and supported by the Make A Green Team.
Objective:

To ensure that no Make A Green Team member receives less favourable treatment and when ever possible that a Make A Green Team member is given help to attain their full potential to the benefit of themselves and Make A Green Team

Policy Statement:

The Make A Green Team Equal Opportunities Policy is to seek to: Build a membership that reflects the wider population in which we live i.e. the whole South West Region of UK To create an environment, which maximises the contribution of Make A Green Team members, and which recognises and values the differences in people.

Policy:

There is no place in Make A Green Team for discrimination or prejudice on the basis of gender, marital status, ethnic origin, colour, religion, sexual orientation, disability or anything else unconnected with an individual’s ability to contribute to Make A Green Team. The Make A Green Team quorum and members must ensure that this Equal
Opportunities Policy is observed at all times. It is the responsibility of all Make A Green Team members, not just the quorum, to ensure that this policy is implemented and the spirit of Equal Opportunities is adopted throughout Make A Green Team and that all Make A Green Team members and any third party are treated equally.

Grievance Procedure:

If any Make A Green Team member or a third party believes that the spirit of this policy is not being implemented properly, whether it involves them, another member or a third party, then they should, in the first instance, raise the matter with the Make A Green Team quorum for investigation and resolution.
