Supporting your Event
Since 2006 The Maker Green Team have been operating many events waste & recycling schemes in partnership with event organisers across the South West of England & beyond.
Maker Green Team site operations are both unique & innovative. When it comes to recycling your events waste we 'walk our talk' and can provide total consultation, education, access, recycling & waste provision organisation for your event.
We have a pool of volunteers based across England & Wales which we can call upon to facilitate your festival requirements.
With recyclables we only use local accredited processors who guarantee recyclables ending up within the UK recycling chain. We are supported by major waste operators such as; Sita-Suez PLC, Smiths (Gloucestershire). We have established links with these waste companies and have specialist contractors who deal with the interesting stuff such as bio aggredigestion materials 'waste to energy'.
The Maker Green Team can facilitate events up to 15,000 persons enabling infrastructure, volunteer rotas, trader consultation & site clearance.
The Maker Green Team isn't a business - all of us within the team are volunteers. Our mission is to facilitate as much recycling within the constraints of your waste budget . We do ask you to be serious about your organisations support towards what we achieve. Often the costs of such provision comes as a shock to event organisers, but we are realistic in our actions & intentions and only seek to get the best deal to facilitate your waste demands. When we trade into pay events we ask you to offer a donation above Maker Green Team expenses. This donation element is vital, as an organisation we don't receive a penny from outside funders presently. Our aim is to support and provide provision to 'not for profit local community events that don't have a waste budget on the input of our provision within 'pay events'.
If you would like us to work with your event next year please email your requests (using the contact button in the menu bar)and ask for an 'event' booking form!
